Various guidelines and assistance tools relating to security deposits and rehabilitation cost estimates (RCE) have been updated. This included a rehabilitation cost estimation tool. There was a staged implementation of the RCE Tool with a seven month transition period between 1 June 2017 and 1 January 2018. This enabled title holders who had commenced preparing a RCE using the former ESB26: Schedule of Rehabilitation Costs to complete their RCE and raise appropriate security on this basis. From January 1 2018, tile holders must use the new RCE tool when preparing their next RCE.
