Underground coal electrical engineers' forum

Workshops • Safety

The underground coal electrical engineers' forum is a collaborative meeting, hosted by the NSW Resources Regulator, to share knowledge across the electrical engineering discipline.

Our inspectors will review emerging issues and trends in the application of electrical engineering in underground coal mines. Content matter experts are invited to present to the group on aspects of the trends and issues identified.

The meeting also includes a review of recent incidents, topical issues, updates on guidelines and standards, discussion of published safety alerts, bulletins, investigation releases and relevant incidents and events at mines for the previous three months. This event is an essential part of meeting continual professional development (CPD) requirements for holders of practicing certificates. It also provides networking opportunities and an avenue for direct communication with the Regulator.

Meeting attendees are encouraged to discuss key learnings from their experiences and participate in constructive technical discussion.

This event will be held in line with the NSW Government Public Health Orders.
