Mining Engineering Managers' Safety Seminar

Seminars • Safety

The Mining Engineering Managers' Safety Seminar (MEMSS) is returning in 2022. The seminar will be held on 12 and 13 October 2022 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Sydney NSW. Delegates will only be able to attend in person, there will be no online broadcast of this event.

This is an excellent opportunity to share experiences, insights and learnings with mining engineers from across the NSW mining industry.

The 2-day seminar will focus on mining engineering safety and health issues in mines and provides a means for collective communication, discussion and consultation of those issues between engineers and other key stakeholders.

Presentations will address a broad range of topics relevant to mining engineering in NSW mines. The agenda (PDF, 60.16 KB) includes new lessons learnt from significant incidents, WHS practices/standards improvement or innovation, emerging technologies, creative solutions to mining issues and opportunities to learn from other industries and sectors.

Who should attend?

  • Mining engineering managers
  • Quarry managers
  • Safety leadership roles
  • Operational leadership roles
  • Electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Major supplier reps

Attendees may be able to claim the content of this seminar to meet their maintenance of competency for their practising certificates.

This event will be compliant with NSW Government Public Health Orders.

We are committed to making MEMSS 2022 a safe, inclusive and enjoyable event for all. If you or one of your guests have specific accessibility requirements (eg. wheelchair user, low vision, hearing impaired), please let us know when registering.
