Regulator investigates fatality at hard rock quarry near West Wyalong

The NSW Resources Regulator has been notified of a fatal incident that occurred on 24 May 2021 at Regional Hardrock quarry near West Wyalong in NSW.

A worker is reported to have sustained fatal injuries after being run over by a light vehicle at the quarry. NSW ambulance attended the scene but were unable to revive the worker.

A team of investigators and inspectors from the NSW Resources Regulator has been deployed to the site and will commence an investigation into the incident.

No further comment will be made while enquiries are ongoing.

The Regulator will release a preliminary investigation report into the incident once key details are known.
