Revised qualification pre-requisites for electrical engineering function guides
The guides of March 2024 now contain a flexible criteria for whether qualifications are acceptable to satisfy the pre-requisite to apply. Further information may be obtained from Mining Competencies and Authorisations (mca@regional.nsw.gov.au, 1300 814 609 option 2 > 3).
This guide includes information about eligibility for a certificate of competence, and the processes involved in assessing whether a person is competent to be granted a certificate.

The application for certificates of competence (examinations and statutory function certificates) is available on the Resources Regulator Portal. A separate application form must be submitted for each certificate of competence that you are seeking to apply for.
