Bullying notification

Bullying in the workplace is 'repeated, unreasonable behaviour directed towards a worker or group of workers that creates a risk to health and safety', according to Safe Work Australia.

If you have been bullied, it is important to respond quickly. However, depending on your issue, the NSW Resources Regulator’s mine safety unit may not be the right agency or the only agency to contact.

We encourage you to notify the NSW Resources Regulator if your case meets the following criteria:

  • you work in a mining workplace in New South Wales
  • the conduct you are reporting meets the definition of bullying and inappropriate conduct, sexual harassment, workplace violence and sexual assault (Fact sheet: Workplace bullying and inappropriate conduct (PDF, 253.19 KB)and
  • you have either
    • reported it to your workplace and there has been no action, or you believe that the action taken was inappropriate, or
    • you are unable to report it in your workplace because there is no procedure, or you are concerned for your health and safety.

To notify us, please complete our Bullying and inappropriate conduct in the workplace complaint form (DOCX, 108.26 KB).
