Electrical engineering information and decision sheets
Important: Please note that the documents below may refer to legislation that has been repealed. Please check the Mine Safety Legislation section for current, in force WHS legislation applying to mines in NSW.
If you are unable to download a copy of any of our free publications, please contact your local mine safety office and they will print one for you.
Electrical engineering safety information sheets are aimed primarily at smaller extractive operations (quarries), however they are worthy of consideration by larger mining operations, both coal and metalliferous.
The information sheets are developed by the Inspectors of Electrical Engineering in response to issues identified during mine site electrical engineering safety audits at extractives operations (quarries) and in response to questions asked by operators on how they may better manage electrical engineering safety at their operation.
The information should be used as reference material in developing site electrical engineering safety standards.
Electrical engineering safety decision sheets are developed by the Inspectors of Electrical Engineering in response to issues raised or questions asked by others within the department and from our external clients.
