Practising certificates

The Resources Regulator administers practising certificates to ensure NSW mining professionals in safety-critical roles have the necessary current skills and knowledge.

Important: Revised maintenance of competence requirements

The Resources Regulator has provided further information in the Guide: Maintenance of competence for practising certificates. (PDF, 867.42 KB)

This includes:

  • What is acceptable to satisfy the criteria for formal training courses.
  • Requirements specified for the different tier levels of Quarry manager practising certificates.
  • Further clarification on eligibility for bonus year for those who applied in the implementation period specified.
  • Removed the sample recommended logbook so it is only found on the website.
