Cancellation of exemption (notification of detection of crystalline silica)

Work health and safety reports can now be submitted online

Work health and safety reports for the period 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 are now available on the Resources Regulator Portal for mine operators to complete.

Horsely Park Quarry rehabilitation

The NSW Resources Regulator has published a new Rehabilitation Information Release following the successful completion of rehabilitation on part of the Horsley Park (Plant 23) Quarry in western Sydney, NSW.


Learning from investigations: Tyre handler fatality, Bengalla Coal Mine

On 3 November 2018 a Marathon Tyres worker at Bengalla Mine sustained fatal injuries while replacing a tyre from a water cart.


Second COVID-19 emergency response exercise for remote mines

A second exercise PANDEMINEIUM was held yesterday, bringing together mines from the Cobar and Nyngan areas with emergency services and government agencies to further test the emergency response in the event of an underground mine emergency during the COVID-19 pandemic.
