Compliance management in exploration webinar – recording now available

On 1 December 2021, we hosted the inaugural Compliance Management in Exploration Webinar.

More than 140 people attended the half-day online education and awareness session for explorers which focused on compliance obligations under the Mining Act 1992.

The webinar was a fantastic opportunity for the Regulator, industry and the wider community to share experiences, lessons learned and promote leading practice in compliance management in exploration.

The session covered an overview of the Regulator’s audit program, work health and safety considerations for explorers, regulatory investigation in the exploration space, native title and the Regulator Portal.

Participants also heard from industry representatives about collaboration between explorers and implementing the community consultation exploration code of practice.

Thank you to the all of the speakers who presented at the webinar. A recording of the webinar is available here, together with a transcript of questions and answers (PDF, 276.33 KB) that were asked on the day.
